It was purpose built for the rough seas we often encounter and is a fantastic ride on the water. It has an aluminium hull and four 300 hp engines which propel it to a top speed of up to 45 knots. Dream Catcher: Dream Catcher is our whale watching and eco-trip vessel and is the latest addition to our fleet. She is a 14m catamaran with an aluminium hull and is purpose-built for eco-marine and whale-watching trips. She was custom designed by owner, Wilfred Chivell. During whale season the boat runs several trips a day in search of the iconic Southern Right Whale. Out of season, eco-trips are run on demand.

Dream Catcher, is so-named because Wilfred has always said “We are in the business of making people’s dreams come true. Clients come from all over the world to see our southern right whales and our great white sharks and it is imperative that we ensure they have a WOW experience.”

Dream Catcher can take 50 passengers and 6 crew. She has been designed specifically for safety, comfort and stability and is excellent in varying weather conditions. The height and viewing decks provide exceptional opportunities for photography. The spacious vessel has two toilets on board and cubicles for guests’ belongings. The public address system for our marine biologist and tour guide ensures that no-one misses any exciting facts about our whales and other species in the area. Dream Catcher is powered by four large four-stroke 250 hp Yamaha outboard engines, and is equipped with top quality electronic equipment for navigating the area.
